How do I place an order?

Here is what our normal order process looks like.

Design

First we will want to understand what you are looking for. That is not very complicated! Our online design tool makes it quick and easy to explore your options. Just choose the style you want, the color scheme you prefer, and add all the options you need. Then submit it for quotation or finalize the purchase online. If you want to talk details we’re always happy to do that! Give us a call or come see us at one of our many locations.

Order

Once the details are ironed out we will get your signature and down payment (typically $500 for structures under $10,000), ($2000 for structures over $10,000). This will take us to the next step.

Site Prep and Build

Your order will immediately go into the lineup to be built. In the meantime you can find an appropriate spot for your structure. You might have already picked out a spot but double checking that everything fits and that you are ready for delivery can make the process very smooth. Check out your foundation options and site prep requirements here.

Delivery

After construction is complete you will be contacted about delivery. Once we have a date picked out that works for everyone, we will just need to wait for the big day. The delivery driver will collect any remaining balance after the setup is complete. See how we make the delivery here.

How long does it take to build a structure?

Lead times depend on a few factors, including demand, season, and availability of supplies. Generally, you can expect it to take 5-6 weeks from placing an order to delivery.

Can I see a structure in person?

We have a network of sales lots across eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina, and southwestern Virginia. Visit our Dealer Locator page to find a sales lot closest you.

Where do you deliver structures?

We offer free standard delivery within 100 miles of our manufacturing facility. This covers most of eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina, and southwestern Virginia. After 100 miles, we charge a nominal fee per mile. Contact us if you have questions about delivering to your property.

Do I need to prepare my backyard for delivery?

Our recommendations for site prep can be found on our delivery & installation page. Generally, we need a flat place to deliver the structure, with enough clearance to place the structure. There are different options for site prep – including cinder blocks, gravel, or concrete pad.

How to choose shed colors?

Carefully selecting colors for your shed can dramatically enhance its appearance. Cherokee Structures offers numerous beautiful color combinations to ensure your shed complements your style perfectly. You’ll need to consider the main color, trim color, roof color, and accent color. For more details about our paint options check out this blog post.

Main color: This is the dominant color of the shed’s siding. Choose lighter colors for an airy look, or darker tones for elegance and contrast. You can choose between a paint or urethane coating. Both are high quality low maintenance options.

Trim color: Select from all the paint colors. This is the color that offsets the main color. It is always an option to match the main color and accent the main color with an accent color on the doors or shutters.

Roof Color: A very common strategy to integrate your roof color into the design is to match the trim color to the roof color. It is also an opportunity to offset some colors. Contrast can add visual interest but the roof color should generally not stand out and call attention to itself.

Accent Color: This color can be skipped in many cases to avoid making a busy looking design. Don’t underestimate the power of this extra color though. It can make your project stand out from the rest. Select any of our standard paint or urethane colors for your doors or shutters.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and credit cards for payment of your storage structure. In addition, we offer a rent-to-own option for those who prefer to finance their structure.
